Here are some things you can do if your headset/microphone isn’t working:
If you are still experiencing a problem after taking the steps above, submit a report.
- If you have an external microphone or speakers, make sure they’re plugged into the correct sockets on your computer.
- Check that your microphone is not on mute. Some microphones have buttons to mute/un-mute. If you’re using a headset, it may have a mute switch either on the side of the headset or on the cable that connects to your computer.
- Check your computer’s sound settings to make sure your computer is using your external headset and microphone as the default sound device. Make sure that your friend is also set up correctly.
